Editorial Policy
Ochre & Circuit covers the intersection of human creativity and artificial intelligence through reported features, interviews and critical essays. This policy describes how we gather information, review it and correct it when necessary.
Sourcing
Our articles draw on interviews with artists, curators, technologists and researchers, on peer-reviewed papers and conference proceedings about machine learning and generative systems, on museum and gallery statements, on documented case law concerning copyright and AI, and on direct testing of publicly available AI tools conducted by our writers.
Review process
Every article passes through at least one editor who checks factual claims, confirms quotations with sources where possible, and flags any statement about AI capability that cannot be independently verified before publication.
Corrections
When a factual error is identified after publication, we correct the text promptly and add a dated note at the bottom of the article describing what was changed and why, rather than silently editing the piece.
Advertising and independence
Any article, interview or roundup that results from a paid partnership, sponsored residency or vendor-supplied review unit is marked as sponsored content in its heading, and sponsors have no influence over the editorial conclusions or opinions expressed in the piece.
Contact the editors
Suggestions and corrections may be sent to [email protected]. We reply within one business day.
